Controlling Your Child’s Online Activity

It is very tough to monitor your child’s online activities all the time. It becomes tough especially for working parents. There are several hackers and predators who intend to victimize innocent children. Every year the percentage of youths experiencing such harassment is increasing rapidly. Parental control is necessary to avoid such situation and protect the future of our children.

Here are some safety tips that your kid should follow while they are online.

Tip 1: Your child should immediately inform you if he/she receives any strange message from any unidentified source. The child molesters are so clever that they approach very carefully. If the child resists they scare him/her by sending threatening messages. You should teach your child not to acknowledge such messages and by any means not to accept invitations to private chat room.

Tip 2: Children should not reveal their real name to anybody unless they know the person. They should use their nicknames. You should never disclose any kind of personal information such as phone number, login ID or password, address, school name and your age to any stranger.

Tip 3: Your children should never agree to meet any stranger live. The online molesters try to insist hardly to meet them. Some times they even propose to meet at public places. But the children should never accept such proposals.

Tip 4: Children should never exchange their photographs with any stranger. They should not accept photograph or files from any unidentified person too.

These are some important tips to keep your child safe online. If you follow these tips you will be able to protect your child from online crime.
